Hello! David here, founder of FREED and Vestsana Capital.

I am an (now part-time) Emergency Medicine physician in Atlanta that still loves my job and medicine in general. I have figured out that supplemental income helps me enjoy my job more and gives me power to make my work schedule around my personal life. I work when I want to. Although legislative improvements are greatly needed in medicine (which I continue to support through my specialty organization), my unique and best contribution to my colleagues (current and future) lies in giving them the tools to be satisfied with their job and have a purpose-filled life that comes with financial freedom. We need to build diversified income streams to work for us, instead constantly working for income.

I’m determined to level the playing field for ALL healthcare workers and bring straight-forward, useful, free real estate investing education to the medical field. Vestsana Capital was formed to partner with the best of the best in the industry. Physicians, dentists, other doctors and healthcare workers need to work smarter, not harder, and deserve the opportunity to protect and grow their wealth so they can get back to worrying about helping people.

After residency, I realized the power of real estate. I house-hacked into my first home ($425k), renovated the basement ($60k) and began earning more rent ($2000) than my mortgage payment ($1700). Many podcasts and books later, my interest in real estate syndications grew.

The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated my motivation. I’ve realized the lack of financial education in medical schools leaves freshly minted doctors at the mercy of Corporate America. The only financial people residents typically interact with early on are life and disability agents looking to sell a product. Like many other high-net-worth individuals, we are targeted by a slew of “advisors” who do not have our best interests in mind.

After years of relying on my financial planner’s advice, I realized real estate was growing my net worth faster than what was possible in a normal retirement account, igniting my mission to share financial education and provide access to stable, strategic investment opportunities with my medical community.
